What a glorious life we are living!  What a wonderful world God has made.  I try to tell myself that everyday to keep things in perspective.  So what is the young, adventurous lady doing.  She has stepped out into the world...leaving behind the happy, safe college community, and did she find fame?  fortune?  Not quite.  Did she find that the world is mean and cruel and not worth living?  Not even close.  She found that you take one day at a time and laugh at the funny things her students do, and cry when they cry or when she feels like crying.  She found that life outside of college is fun, apartment life is great, and teaching is full of ups and downs.  She found that she enjoys growing up and that taking the step between college and career creates changes in your life, but change is a part of life.  She found that she wants to go watch Narnia so she is going to stop typing.

"Do I even have a xanga site anymore?"  She wondered as she cautiously crept onto her computer screen. "AHA!  Yes I do!  Oh frabjous day!"  Her joy and wonder was overwhelming.  "What in the world am I doing checking my Xanga site when I should be packing to go home?"  Was the next clear thought that stole itself into her mind.   "This was the whole reason why I stopped Xanga-ing for a this semester anyway.  I always spend too much time doing this and not making my lesson plans for school."  Ahhh...reason had finally taken control of her mind and she silently took her absence, knowing that no one would notice that she had been there anyway.

Fancy a few words?
Student teaching...and you thought you had a busy life....Well ok, you probably do have a busy life, but so do I! To quote a famous black woman..."I will survive!" I actually am loving it. It makes me a bit tired, the high school kids are encourageable, but it is interesting and fun. I hope the whole 2 people that may read this have a great weekend. And if you happen to wander onto the site adn you aren't one of the two people...YA'LL HAVE A GREAT WEEK AS WELL!!!!!

Have a fanciful week!!

I bit of prose/poetry to lighten your humdrum lives:

It's 9 o'clock in the evening.
You peer into a college dorm and what do you see?
Lo! The students are frolicking and merry making.
They are gaming, or studying, some watch their tv's.
You search the dorms and HARK!
One lonely light is off, the curtains drawn!
Can this be?
Is one student in bed at such an hour as this??
You peer inside and YES!
There she lay, in silent slumber!
Why you ask!?!
What cruel force of nature sparked this phenomenon?
Ahhhh....the answer is this!
The time for sleep is nine o'clock when you student teach!

My splendiferous thoughts of the day,
I'm sure that all of you reading this can agree that life has been crazy, busy lately.  However, I have no tests or assignments today so I can do whatever I want.  I'm definitely going to finish my presents.  And for all of you lucky college students with workstudy jobs, TODAY IS PAYDAY!  Woo Hoo!  OH!  If any of you have not seen Without a Paddle, I highly recommend it. But go in a big group.  It is much funnier in a bigger group.  I went with four of my friends and we laughed all the way through it.  What a good stress reliever.  It is still at the Palace this weekend.  Showtimes are at 2:20, 4:45, 7:20, 9:45, and 11:45.  Enjoy!
Have a fanciful weekend

Poetry Corner

No books, no homework, no wicked hard tests
My head can't take no more
No papers, no quizzes, no professors in vests
I really must implore
I crave my freedom, I'm going insane!
I'm one foot out the door
Four more days and I'm gone at last
To the home that I adore

My fanciful thoughts,

My two favorite words of the day?   HOT ROLLS!!!!  I went to Lambert's today for my brothers' birthday.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAMES!  I LOVE YOU MUCHLY!  I had great fun with all the kids that went with us. (And I don't use the word "kids" loosely since I was the oldest one there.)  Lambert's is a fun place to go.  Especially on someone's birthday.  I got Sauerkraut and Polish Sausage.  It's my German roots...what can I say.  Everyone who reads this, Wish my brother a happy birthday...his Xanga is Saudukar43 in case you don't know.

Have a fanciful day

Random Poetry:

I sit in silent anticipation
Waiting, hoping, desiring,
Oh!  If only he would look my way.
My hands raise
In a desperate plee
Please!  Please say you notice me.
He controls the room
His voice rings out
The voice that can ease my hunger
He speaks the words
I long to hear
HOT ROLLS!  My hands close on my treasure
